Testing in Scotland
The Sapphire Modulating Boiler has been extensively modeled using comparative CO2e annual emissions using SAP 10.0 Table 12 values against other liquid fuel boiler emissions.
The modeling was done against a typical 3 bedroom house in Scotland.
The results are:
Sapphire – 3.394 Tonnes
EOGB Sapphire Boiler using fully compensated OpenTherm controls, running on kerosene produces 3.394 Tonnes of CO2e per annum
A standard Condensing Boiler running on Kerosene produces 6.216 Tonnes of CO2e per annum
Standard Condensing Boiler – 6.216 Tonnes
Non-Condensing Boiler – 7.653 Tonnes
A Non-Condensing Boiler running on Kerosene produces 7.653 Tonnes of CO2e per annum
It can be seen that The Sapphire Fully Modulating Boiler with compensated controls emits 50% less CO2e than a modern Condensing Boiler running on Kerosene!
