Kencot Lodge

The new heating solution involved replacing an old boiler with fully modulating Sapphire boiler, supplied by EOGB Energy Products LTD based in St Neots, Cambridgshire.

 

Situation

Kencot Lodge is located in a picturesque village on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border. It’s a property dates from the 18th century, with later additions, and now offers a blend of period features and modern comforts. Kencot Lodge was selected to installation new heating system due to Sapphire partnership with Genius Hub Controls, identified as a hard to heat property.

Solution

The new heating solution involved replacing an old boiler with fully modulating Sapphire boiler, suppplied by EOGB Energy Products LTD based in St Neots, Cambridgshire.

Benefits

By upgrading the existing heating system to a Sapphire boiler, Kenton Lodge has benefitted over 30% savings per year in fuel consumption. The customer was satisfied with the excellent service and the extensive warranty.

Alistair Dinmore, the homeowner of Kencot Lodge, said:
“We have taken part in an extended home trial of the new EOGB boiler between April 2019 and August 2022.  It replaced a 15-year-old kerosene boiler with a much lighter and more compact unit, and we were particularly keen to reduce our fuel consumption. With the previous boiler providing all the heating and hot water for a large house we were using on average 300 litres per month…”

“… Since the EOGB boiler has been fitted our usage has dropped to 200 litres per month, which will save us around £730 a year on current fuel prices.  It’s great to see new technology reducing our carbon footprint and saving us money at the same time.”
